In the style of Acoustic Folk Rock, her fun, introspective songs about self empowerment, will inspire you to live your dreams and follow your heart. Loribella is currently touring Utah with the Synergy Concert Tour. Check her out at LoribellaMusic.com

Sunrise on Neptune

Rock band Sunrise on Neptune writes life-affirming songs about emotional interaction and the human condition. Songwriter and guitar player, Dan Nobles, says he gets his inspirations from the friction between people that fuels the fire and from our relationships that can mirror back to us not only who we are but who we want to be. Lead singer Kelly Nobles is said to have a voice than sometimes croons and often soars.  Contact:  dannobles@comcast.net

McCall Erickson

When McCall Erickson sings, people listen. With her emotionally candid songwriting style and her sultry, passionate vocals, she draws people in with inescapable creative force. McCall writes candidly about everyday life experiences. Her songs range from whimsically comical to heart piercing tearjerkers. She segues beautifully from singing about her best friend's stolen car, being a waitress in a noisy restaurant, and hilarious relationship dysfunctions to deeper issues such as grief, disillusionment, and spiritual freedom. Her refreshing lyrics, colorful vocals, and relatable songs have drawn comparisons to Joni Mitchell, Norah Jones, and Paula Cole. Check McCall out at McCallErickson.com or MySpace.com/McCallErickson.

Danielle Vaughn

Danielle is a soulful singer, songwriter, and performer who captivates audiences the world over. Or at least local restaurants and ski resorts. When you listen to Danielle sing, she transports her audiences to new heights as she puts her heart into each lyric of every song. "I love the energy exchange that takes place with an audience, the connection I feel when people tell me how a lyric or a song made them feel..." And when you listen to Danielle sing, you can't help but feel. "For me, that's what it's all about. Get people thinking and feeling. The human experience and let the music transcend...." Check Danielle out at MySpace.com/DanielleMVaughn.

D. Scott Williams

From salt-tinged surf-beat to the plaintive country fried strains of Hank and Patsy, to melancholic Coltrane, this surf rat turned plainsman brings another long buffet of influences to the sonic feast. The seventies and eighties were a time of blending these influences with folk and bluegrass to form something of a “style”. “So many cool instruments and sounds and so little time” is a quote worth note from this shade of grey. Guitar, dobro, mandolin and bass are“frequent criers” in the hands of this jack of all strings. His songwriting usually comes from places in the heart and soul that most of us don’t visit often. Check D. Scott Williams out at ShadesofGrey.info. Contact: 745-0402. dan@mtctrains.com

Gary Kelso

A native Californian, transplanted to Utah in the early 60’s and influenced by the Vietnam War and the anti-war movement. He considers himself to be an aspiring folk singer, not an accomplished one. He thinks of modern folk and “ Americana ” music to be more of an attitude or an approach than a musical style. Folk music is music that makes a difference in people's lives and one that finds a useful place. And there is more than one way to get there. To make music that makes a difference is the ideal. That is his mission statement, his musical manifesto. He plays the acoustic guitar, electric bass guitar, 3/4 upright bass, harmonica, and plays “at” a variety of other stringed instruments. Check Gary out at ShadesOfGrey.info.

Theresa Ellis

Singer/songwriter, violinist, fiddler, educator. Theresa has always shared her music talents, wherever she lives. She has been in the Salt Lake area for over 20 years, and has lived for 2 years in Eden in the Ogden Valley. As a performer, producer and educator, now she has her own students helping to teach others and continue her legacy of producing fine violinists and fiddle players in this area.  Check Theresa out at LodestarProductions.com.

Frosty McWilliams

Frosty McWilliams is a true son of the American West.  Country Western and Cowboy folk tunes were the nursery rhymes for a kid who would also sneak out to fix a craving for Blues, Rock, Soul, R&B and Pop. 40 years later, you'll find him in bands like Shades of Grey (Blues-Grass Daredevils), and Pladdohg where it's OK to sing Haggard, Springsteen, Van Morrison, and Sam Cooke, all back-to-back. Whether due to boredom or frustration, he wouldn't have it any other way. How else can a guy be allowed to jump from guitar, mandolin, sax, whistle, to vocals, all in the same set?  Frosty has been writing songs for a few years now, and hopes soon to produce a solo album featuring them. Musical collaboration is a favorite pastime, and he loves to help with backup and harmonies.  Check Frosty out at www.MySpace.com/FrostyMcW.  Contact :  801-710-9664  or  Frostymac@aol.com.

The Real Justin

Acoustic, Alternative, Folk, Pop, Rock, Singer/Songwriter.  My music is mostly original.   I play an acoustic alterna-pop with a happy twist.  Occasionally I hit a nasty chord on stage and yell "physics."  And I love to bring random people on stage with me!  My biggest influences are Smashing Pumpkins, Dave Matthews Band, and Our Lady Peace.   Well, them and myself.  I like myself.  Honestly though, my talent is a blessing from our Lord and I try to remember that by not doing anything contrary to my beliefs on stage.   I love to rock out and have fun!  I've been shy about my songs until just recently, and now I'm ready to get out there and rock people's faces off!  Check Justin out at  www.MySpace.com/JustinLindner.  Contact:  Phone (801) 652-1347,  the_real_justin@hotmail.com.

Brett Turner

Acoustic, Blues, Singer/Songwriter.  Imagine sitting on a porch swing, strumming on a beat up old six string. Then imagine stomping out the beat on the old swollen porch slats with your foot, creating such a dirty southern sound, that it kicked up the wind, and wind chimes that are hanging from your porch start chiming in perfect rhythm.  It sounds a little something like that.  Check Bret out at  BrettTurnerMusic.com  or  MySpace.com/BrettTurnerMusic.  Contact:  (801) 814-6231  or brettturnermusic@gmail.com.

Josh Maurer

Acoustic guitar soloist, Joshua Maurer's, favorite artist is Australian born “Tommy Emmanuel” (TE), who many consider one of the most innovative players in the world, inspired and tutored by the legendary Chet Atkins. Josh is motivated by TE’s unique “finger-style” – playing guitar the way a pianist plays piano, with all ten fingers – a very complex combination of fingerpick patterns & rhythms, flatpick strums & single string runs, and percussion. The style facilitates playing bass line, melody line, and rhythm/harmony line all at the same time, often sounding like more than one guitar. Josh plays with a dizzying array of harmonic effects, off-hand ornamentation, hammer-ons and pull-offs, and just about anything else you can do on an acoustic guitar. An eclectic mix of jazz, rock, contemporary, classical, country, and the blues. Contact: joshmmaurer@hotmail.com, 801-745-6219.

Luke Maurer

Acoustic guitar soloist, Luke Maurer enjoys performing intricate solo pieces from a variety of genres. His favorite artist is Australian born "Tommy Emmanuel", one of the most gifted and innovative guitar players in the world. Luke is inspired by Tommy's unique "finger-style" abilities - akin to playing guitar the way a pianist plays piano, with all ten fingers - a complex combination of fingerpick patterns and rhythms, flatpick runs and strums, harmonics, and percussion. Luke thrives on challenging material that motivates him to play the instrument. He has a great passion and appreciation for acoustic guitar and the music it makes, and hopes to convey this to those who hear him play. Luke also offers his services for private lessons and personal gigs. Contact: 801-745-6219 or mmaurer@warpspeed.net.

Gemini

American as it gets, Gemini brings thought provoking ideas that border punk rock but rip the roots out of traditional acoustic songwriters. A perfect blend of politics and art, Legal? Traveling quite extensively in the Kerouac style, by bus, freight trains and hitch hiking, Bryan Done of Gemini started playing acoustic shows and met up with the band Juse, playing many shows with some big names including Warped Tour. But Bryan really likes playing acoustic more aggressively than most. So you might have heard these songs in a bookstore or street corner and hopefully in the future you will hear them in a broader spectrum than MTV has to offer. Check Gemini out at MySpace.com/GoddamnHippyMusic.

Avenue

Avenue started out as a bunch of friends just jamming out in their friends' room. They started writing songs and decided to enter their first battle of the bands for Sunset Days. They won the battle hands down and became Avenue. They started playing around the valley and their name started to get out. Most shows are played at a coffee shop called Mojos. They entered the yearly high school battle of the bands and took first place which has helped them produce their first full length CD and is just about finished. They play shows on a regular basis and are gearing up for their CD realse party.  Check them out at PureVolume.com/AvenueUt  or  MySpace.com/AvenueRockethContact:  avenuetheband@yahoo.com.

Will Johnson

I tend to bring the rock, but I also break it down and get acoustic for the ladies and gents every so often. I'm really influenced by what I view as the classics (Rolling Stones, Wilco, Ryan Adams, Grateful Dead, Son Volt, etc) but I definitely have my own sound and identity.  I'm a solo singer-songwriter in a new town. I'm from California, and I've moved out to Salt Lake for school so I don't really know many people at this point. Maybe a good thing?
Right now I'm in the studio working on a new album, I'm planning on having it out by January. It'll be posted on my Myspace page, so come check it out!!    Check Will out at www.myspace.com/williamjohnsonmusic.  Contact:  willjohnsonmusic@gmail.com.

Peter Harvey

Acoustic, Folk, Singer/Songwriter.   We have versatile approaches with our songs and have played with different line ups that change the sound each time.  Without doubt, our songs try to capture emotion of moments in life.  The feeling of wanderlust is present throughout many songs and it might seem that the only real peace is found in the music itself.  Singer/songwriter, Chad Sanders had a handful of songs and a pocket full dreams.  Carey Smith, Jon Mehl, and Adam Rosenberg have all since joined the band and have brought a multiplicity of talent and experience.  The band's sound is driven by acoustic guitar and is accented by trumpet and guitar riffs.  Solid rhythm and base vibes provide the backbone.  Songs like "Wanderlust" feature the trumpet, while "Name" features the tom drums.  The band's softer side can be found in "Nowhere," while "Trying" is all about fun.  Peter Harvey's songs span several emotions and vibes, but one thing is clear, they love making music.  Chances are high you'll end up tapping your foot.  Check them out at:  www.peterharveymusic.com  or  www.myspace.com/chadsanderspeterharvey.  Contact:  ifyoulikeitshareit@yahoo.com

Chris Woods

Acoustic, Singer/Songwriter.  My music is an acoustic blend of pop, blues, country, jazz, adult contemporary, and Hawaiian. It's like Jack Johnson meeting up with Cold Play, Jason Mraz, and Rickey Martin and then combining their musical dna to create Chris Woods. It is fun yet clean, sensitive but not in your face. It is religious but not preachy. It is personal and sometimes fictional and, at times, goofy. It is relatable.  Check Chris out at  ChrisWoodsMusic.com.  Contact:  cwm30@chriswoodsmusic.com  or  801-809-9489.
