Sometime soon after submitting this form, you'll receive instructions by email for how to use the SMA Discussion Group and our website, what promo materials we'd like you to send us and how to make the most out of your experience as a member.

Once you're a member, you'll be eligible to be considered for performing at our events and have your songs considered for our sitewide music player and compilation CD's. We will also add your profile to our Meet Members page and add you to our SMA Discussion Group on Yahoo!, where you can start to talk, collaberate and network with other members or just read what members are saying to each other. It's a great way to get a feel for what's going on in the local music scene.

Networking with other musicians leads to more gigs, opportunites, connections and exposure!!! Staying active on the SMA Discussion Group is the best way to network with other musicians in your area.

Our discussion group is not a forum. Communications between members in the SMA Discussion Group happen via email. You may choose from several preferences below for how you prefer to receive group messages or you may choose not to receive them at all. Don't worry about your email being bombarded with extra emails. The most messages you would receive in a day may only be a few and sometimes none.

It's mostly there as a tool for you to send messages, announcements, performance promotions, requests for advice or referrals, etc. We believe that the SMA Discussion Group is our strongest networking tool and we encourage you to take full advantage of it by staying active in it.
